We are at Campsite D. This is the same campsite as the one we used last year!
Parking: TBD; parking on site is limited. Please expect that you may need to park away from the site and haul camping gear. If you have a wagon, it may be helpful to transport gear from car to campsite, in case we can’t park and drop off
Events: Come when you can. General camp set up is between 2:00 and 5:00 pm on Saturday, but you can come later if needed. This is a fun and informal family campout. General schedule of events:
The Pack is committed to getting everyone out of the ‘great indoors’ for a night under the stars. As always, we will be family camping; this means that each family will pitch a tent, and spend the night camping. If something prevents you from spending the night, consider coming for the campfire.
Families are encouraged to pitch their tents in a Den community area, both for camaraderie and to minimize walking through other’s camping areas as much as possible. If you have a Cub in more than one den, just choose the one that makes the most sense for your Cubs. There should be no running through the campground for safety reasons.
Meals and S’mores:
Dinner at 6pm. Campfire and s’mores thereafter. Breakfast at 7:30 am.
Menu: The AOLs will be cooking dinner and breakfast for the pack. Spaghetti (plain and meat sauce options), Italian bread, simple green salad, and apples are on the menu for dinner. Breakfast includes pancakes, mandarin oranges, donut holes and turkey sausage. Bring your own plates/bowls/utensils/cups/mugs.
S’mores: The Pack will have an exciting campfire program. S’mores will be available at the closing. Please help to monitor your child(ren) around the campfire to ensure everyone is being safe around the fire.
Other Activities:
The park has boat rentals, mini-golf, and disc golf so you might want to plan for that Sunday after we break camp (leave whenever you need to, please check out with your den leader or a Pack leader).
Medical Forms must be in hand or emailed in advance to scottau@hotmail.com. BSA medical form A & B one form for each person attending (adult and child). Signed activity form is not required. Adults must take YPT Training in advance as well.
